Working at the Department of Justice required me to think quickly, solve problems independently and make confident creative decisions within unusually short production windows. Assignments could arrive a week in advance—or the same day they were expected to be delivered.
My work placed me directly alongside the Attorney General of the United States and senior leadership across federal law enforcement. Beyond operating cameras, the role required helping subjects feel comfortable on camera, guiding visual presentation, and keeping DOJ's digital storytelling current, professional and relevant to modern social platforms.
Travel could move just as quickly. Assignments sometimes required cross-country travel with less than 24 hours' notice, while international coverage could be confirmed only days in advance.
